Novel
Insurance Agent, Not Genie Hunter
Urban Fantasy | 638/? words
When you're on the verge of homelessness, you'll take any opportunity to earn a paycheck.
At least, that's what Oliver told himself when he decided to set himself up as an "insurance agent for people wronged by genies" (and if anyone can give him a snappier job title, that'd be great, thanks). He expected to spend his days helping people reverse genie-wishes-gone-wrong. He didn't expect he'd have to repeatedly inform clients that he doesn't hunt genies, because he doesn't, except for that one time, but that was a while ago and doesn't really count.
But when a naked client shows up at Oliver's door and demands help getting back all his possessions--including his missing clothes--Oliver finds himself hunting a genie. Or tracking one, anyway. To make it better, the surly, naked client (who's wearing clothes now, thank the high heavens) decides to tag along.
At least completing this job promises a huge paycheck.
This story is an unfinished work-in-progress.
